Dear Kenwood Customer:

Thank you for your e-mail.  Instructions for programming the TH-G71A handheld transceiver. 

Step 1  Press the Band Key
Step 2  Press the VFO Key 
Step 3  Select your frequency by turning the main tuning knob, or directly from the keypad.
Step 4  Select your Shift ( example - or + ) by pressing the F Key than the Shift key multiple times 
            until desired shift is shown in the display.
Step 5  Selecting Tone/PL/Encode press the F key than the Tone/Low key until a T appears in the display.
Step 6  Press the F key then the Tone/Sel (9) key, using the main tuning knob select your desired PL/Tone
Step 7 Memory entry, press F key then you will see a memory number flash in the display, select the memory by using main 
           tuning knob to select desired memory number ( example 2 ) . Then press M.IN/MR to store that frequency into memory.
Step 8  Recalling memory, press the MR key and the memory number will re-appear, to change memory turn the main tuning 
            to desired memory channel.
